QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have knowledge and skills in the installation of hardscapes and landscapes to include, retaining walls, paver patios/ walkways & driveways, plant material, outdoor lighting, water features, grading, etc.
  • Must have excellent plant ID knowledge.
  • Ability to layout a project from start to finish while implementing the most cost-effective way to install the project and meet budgeted timelines.
  • Work closely with your team installing a high-end quality product to all of our clients.
  • Communicate effectively to the company owner and design team on any project changes and needs of the client throughout the endpoint of the project.
  • Lead and instruct team members to always deliver high quality work and craftsmanship
  • Always represent the firm’s best interest and maintain the highest level of integrity for our customers and team members
  • Act as onsite liaison and consultant for all job-related needs and customer communication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site at all times
  • Adjust scheduling as needed with any changes.
  • Provide a safe and healthy working environment following OSHA’s highest standards
  • Maintain and supervise all company equipment, tools, and vehicles with great care
  • Complete and manage project documentation in an organized and timely manner.
  • Forecast equipment, labor, budget, and material needs to ensure an efficient timeline and scope of the project.
  • Manages a team of two or more employees, gets crew ready and organized each day, handles personnel issues on-site, and trains new employees.
  • Completes the necessary paperwork including timesheets, work orders, change orders, material requisitions & deliveries, and client paperwork.
  • Routinely interacts with clients by way of introductions at the beginning of a job, answering questions, responding to client’s requests, making reasonable changes to the construction plans, and providing a customer walk-through at the job’s completion.
  • Operates, proficiently, a variety of construction equipment, including skid steers, excavators, front end loaders, plate compactors, vibratory rollers, stone grinders, drills, gas and electric chop saws, demolition hammers, and jackhammers.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years of experience in landscape design/construction field.
  • Have a proven track record of leading previous landscape construction crews and projects.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of 2 plus employees independently with direction from the owner/ design team.
  • Must have high attention to detail, motivation, and great customer service skills.
  • Possess a valid MA driver license and/or CDL Class A or B
  • Have a valid MA hoisters license or be able to obtain.
  • Possess an OSHA 10 card or be able to obtain
  • Possess a valid DOT physical card or be able to obtain.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • ICPI Certification preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret landscape plans and blueprints.
  • Must be able to run a job from the design phase to completion.
  • Must be well organized with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Be available to assist/ work for the winter months for RJM Landscaping Snow removal division in the off-season.
