Luxury Backyard Oasis in Longmeadow, MA 01106

We were asked by our client to design a backyard living space that would create a relaxing oasis. We were able to start with a blank slate that included a steep hillside which provided many design possibilities. After creating a muti-dimensional design, the end result was a beautiful living space that gives a mountain spa like feel.

The project started with installing a 75 ft L x 6 ft H Verti Block Canyon Ledge retaining wall system along the hillside creating a two-level living space. On the upper portion, we installed a Stabilized Pea Stone pathway leading from the upper deck of the home to a fire pit area built using Silver Travertine and included a 5 ft wood burning (BREO) fire pit faced with a natural stone veneer and a Bluestone coping.

We also installed large boulders behind the fire pit to retain the grade.  After the inground pool and spa was installed, our crew installed a natural stone waterfall into the pool that connects with a man-made stream along the hillside. We surfaced the spa using the same natural stone veneer and Bluestone coping used on the fire pit. Bluestone pool coping was installed around the pool with a large, 1,800 sq ft pool patio using Silver Travertine.  Our stone masons installed veneer on the foundation wall under the deck to create a nice shaded area for people to relax in and get out of the hot summer sun.

We installed the finishing touches by installing plantings, trees and a new lawn to create that resort like feel. Lastly, Cast low voltage lighting was installed throughout the landscape, waterfall, and pathway giving our client a backyard oasis they can enjoy day and night for many years to come!
